BEAST Munny Project--YOSEOB complete!

Mission ACCOMPLISHED! (sort of)
Yesterday I finally had time to work on my munny and managed to finish most of YoSeob by 4am! All that is left for me to do is fix his mouth and spray on a coat of varnish.
I do not own this image. It is used here only for reference.
Here is the image that I was working on. This is YoSeob in the "Lights Go On Again" MV Teaser that was released a few days ago. Originally, I was planning on making these munnys based on BEAST's Mastermind Army concept. But after I saw the video, I just fell in love all over again. They were just too handsome in their black suits. So i changed my concept completely. Luckily, I hadn't started coloring yet. :)
My finished product (front)! Unfortunately, I am not very good, so it doesn't really look like him. :( I try to capture his adorable smile, but here, it just looks weird. I like how I painted the suit though. :] I got the bow-tie and everything!

As you can see in the picture of the real YoSeob, the top of his hair is spiky... i couldn't figure out how to do that...otherwise, i think it would look more like him. :(

YoSeob Munny (back). His name in Korean is on the back. I had plan to also write BEAST on there, but didn't know how to do it, nicely. Should I have used a different color? Everything is kind of black and white. I like the result, but it kind of blends in with the back and I dont know. Maybe i should use another way to make the words pop out?

Problems: all of my Sharpie Paint makers and permanent makers ran out of ink when I started working on his face. I was so angry and frustrated. I had bought those for like $3 a piece and they were brand new never-been-used. darn things dried up before they even got home!
Also, as you can see from the picture of YS Munny's back, he has a little tail... the figure came like that and I didn't know how to remove it without causing too much damage. Tips?

So... this is my FIRST munny! What do you guys think? I plan to make five more, one for each of the members, so please anticipate them! I don't know if I'll change them too much because I want them to be the same, but I don't know about that font on the back... Please feel free to leave feedback! :] SO BEAST! hahaha....

medium: 4" Soft Vinyl figure, acrylic paint

  1. HEY!!! This looks amazing! You have some crazy talent there! Also the tail on the back doesn't look so bad. I didn't even notice it until you said something. I just assumed he was wearing a penguin suit. Waddle Waddle :D ~Kiku
